Online Travel Booking Players Make Moves

Could traditional online travel booking companies such as TripAdvisor.com, Booking.com, Expedia.com and Priceline move into a territory classically reserved for hotels?

Booking players are moving toward app creation and development that will enable them to take over some of hoteliers’ day-to-day operations, such as checking in, upgrading rooms and ordering room service. They also extend into concierge services, like making dining reservations, scheduling tours and providing in-destination activities.

Do you think these moves will improve sales partnerships or create a new battle between OTAs and hotels?
